sticks her ‘recent photograph’ in the box,
adjusts it in the square,
pauses,
removes her old IDs,

Polaroids–aged 16,19 and 21 stare back,
..the same curls, the same smile, similar T-shirts even…

The difference she notes,
is in their eyes.
