Now anyone who lived in India during the late 80s and early 90s cant
read the the title of this post without reminiscing about a certain
national integration- 5 minute clip that would continuously play on the
lone channel that existed at that point of time.

Roughly translated,the song would mean -

'when your note weaves into mine,it becomes our song'

This clip celebrated indian diversity in all its splendour and reached a gradual cresecendo towards the end when prominent indians in film and sport lip synched their bit of the song and passed on this flaming torch...the song ended with a sea of young children dressed in orange white and green , who came together from all directions to form the flag ...I dont think it was possible to watch this 5 minute celebration of indiannness without a proud smile on your face....
