Anyone who is interested to know anything about women in India absolutely must read this post 'Women Everywhere' on my buddy Sneha's post. If you ever wondered why noone can make one straight generalization about India , is because diversity of the mini Indias in the country is so huge that well there is no one straight answer.

There are 22 year olds women in the country who's sole aim is to get married, there are those in villages who are already supporting themselves and their families with cottage industry , investing in micro credit banking and the like,
and then there are the urbane who have their career ambitions mapped out as far as they can think,
there are also young women who have their academic goals set so high that it baffles the ordinary person but at the same time are completely comfortable with having no career ambitions after marriage which will be with someone of course introduced to them by their parents,
And then there are those who live their adaptation of modernity, sometimes taking you back to the basic question of what is modern?
And who determines what is modern and what isnt.
Maybe change and modernity are not necessarily synonyms . and who really knows the difference?
