Post IPM Sick time – 2 weeks totally out of order wooohoo.. I went for a non stop sleep marathon for 2 days
Expros in Russia … After dragging my sick and extremely bed-needing posterior to the Russian embassy almost everyday of the week, I finally get my visa and I get ready to head towards St Petersburg ... A chance meeting with Ira on gtalk and a casual mention that I don’t plan to carry my winter jacket meets with an uber horrified response. After a lot of bolds and exclamations typed by her,I was convinced that well maybe it was still cold in Russsia in march.. and boy o boy it WAS!

The initial days in Russia were interesting,we had blinis (stuffed pancakes) everyday ..... drank russian tea from samovars..very Russianey
Expros was time for crazy Polish fun with Anula and Cebula again.. wandering around St Petersburg in a super old electrical trammey trainey thingy with a sharp cold umm breeeze of 'ventilation unknown'…finding our way back to the hotel…everything pretty much can be super funny and make you laugh like a caffeinated hyena when you are out with these two,… .

The facis were by far the most diverse team that I have ever worked with – think about it – Canadian,English,Scottish,Romanian,Greek,
Kenyan,Slovakian,Bulgarian,Colombian,Bulgarian,
Brazilian, German ,Greek, Australian.. it was amazing!!
Truly an amazing experience.. so much talent under one roof and we worked so well together.. all the sofra moments still make me smile….. and it was an amazing experience..te be with such a diverse team for 2 weeks and to experience Russia together with them....team dynamics, work styles ..everything was so different and they all were such unique people... . So I have a lot to be happy about.. and it was an amazing experience..te be with such a diverse team for 2 weeks and to experience Russia together with them....team dynamics, work styles ..everything was so different and they all were such unique people... . the pre conference planning, file sharing, bus cramming, faci roll call – pigeon step dancing, night stalk practicing moments… LOVED IT!
After the conference I had my ‘memorable’ experience when I witnessed the most scary russian blizzard we dragged our poor bags through the snow – not a nice time to find out your bag isn’t water proof , we hitch hiked – which people kept reassuring me is totally normal in Russia… and we lived in a fancy, quirky and very well kept home of a Russian AIESECer… loved it…
I didn’t see much of Russia though….well blame the weather.. - but its ok ,I still had an incredibly unforgettable time ….
